Summary of Program

The Manufacturing Engineering Intern for the Molding team will work to drive standards across multiple injection molding cleanrooms in both the Clinton and Devens Jabil Healthcare facilities. This internship will be designed to simultaneously fulfill business needs, while offering ample hands-on training opportunities in injection molding engineering, including; mold design, mold construction, mold qualification, process development, troubleshooting, continuous improvement, preventative maintenance and repair.


Education & Experience

Major(s): Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Plastics or Mechanical Engineering

Class Year(s): Rising Junior, Rising Senior, Recent Graduate

GPA: Min 3.0

Intern Duties & Responsibilities

Job shadowing with Tooling Engineers, Project Engineers, Process Engineers, Manufacturing Technicians, and Functional Leaders.

Support NPI and Commercial Tooling activities across both Clinton and Devens Molding sites. Including but not limited to:

  • New Mold Project Setup
  • Mold Design Reviews
  • Molding quality improvement projects
  • Identifying best practices in our Clinton and Devens facilities and implementing them across the board.


Skills / Abilities
Strong willingness to learn and adapt in a professional environment. Basic organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to follow instructions, manage time effectively, and maintain attention to detail. Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.

The hourly pay range for this role is $16.00 - $32.00. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
