JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for leading and executing programming activities for Fuji SMT equipment using Nexim, ensuring optimal line performance, program accuracy, and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, create, and optimize machine programs using Fuji Nexim software for SMT production lines.
• Generate and maintain accurate Part Data (PD files), including component libraries, feeder setup, and placement data.
• Perform program validation, debugging, and optimization to improve cycle time and placement efficiency.
• Ensure correct machine setup coordination (feeder arrangement, nozzle selection, and line balancing).
• Support production by troubleshooting program-related issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Continuously improve placement programs to achieve maximum throughput, yield, and efficiency.
• Maintain and manage program backups and version control to ensure data integrity across all lines.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to support new product introduction (NPI) and sustain existing programs.
• Provide training to technicians and operators on Nexim programming, program loading, and basic troubleshooting.
• Analyze machine performance data and propose process improvements related to programming and placement optimization.
• Participate in DFM (Design for Manufacturing) reviews, providing feedback to improve assembly processes.
• Support line readiness for production by ensuring all programs are validated, released, and error-free.
• Assist in continuous improvement initiatives related to SMT processes and automation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

• Strong knowledge of Fuji SMT equipment and Nexim software.
• Experience in machine programming, optimization, and line balancing.
• Understanding of SMT processes including pick & place, solder paste, reflow, and PCB assembly.
• Ability to interpret Gerber files, BOMs, CAD data, and assembly drawings.
• Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve programming and process issues.
• Experience managing PD libraries, feeders, and component database integrity.
• Proficiency in Windows-based systems and manufacturing software tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and provide technical guidance.
• Capability to work with data analysis (cycle time, efficiency, yields).
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills related to program control and documentation.
