Job Summary
We are seeking a Database Analyst with operational database administration capabilities.
This role combines data analysis through SQL with hands-on database administration responsibilities in production environments. The objective is to ensure performance, integrity, availability, and scalability of business-critical databases.

Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & SQL Development
•Design, analyze, and maintain relational database structures to support business applications and analytics requirements
•Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and scripts
•Ensure query efficiency, performance, and scalability
Database Administration (Operational Level)
•Monitor database performance and identify bottlenecks
•Apply basic performance tuning techniques, including indexing, statistics updates, and query optimization
•Support database maintenance activities including backups, restores, and capacity monitoring
•Install updates, patches, and perform system configuration for optimal performance
Data Integrity & Security
•Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity through validation rules and controls
•Manage user access, roles, and permissions
•Ensure compliance with data security and governance policies
Operations & Support
•Provide support for database-related incidents and service requests
•Assist in deployments across development, testing, and production environments following change management processes
•Collaborate with development teams to review SQL and database-related code
•Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in production environments
Documentation
•Document database structures, data models, and technical standards
•Maintain updated technical documentation to support operations and knowledge transfer

Qualifications & Skills

Education
•Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience

Technical Skills
•Strong proficiency in SQL (intermediate to advanced level)
•Solid understanding of relational database concepts: tables, joins, indexes, constraints, transactions
•Experience with at least one of the following platforms:
oMicrosoft SQL Server (2019/2022)
oOracle Database
oPostgreSQL
oMySQL

Database Administration Knowledge
•Experience with query optimization, execution plans, and indexing strategies
•Basic experience with backup and restore operations
•Familiarity with performance monitoring and troubleshooting in production environments
Additional Knowledge (Preferred)
•Windows Server 2022
•Storage Area Networks (SAN)
•Cloud platforms such as AWS

Language
•Bilingual English/Spanish required
