JOB SUMMARY

The Supplier Quality Manager is responsible for leading a team of Supplier Quality Engineers in driving continuous improvement in resource efficiency and effectiveness within their team and respective assigned sites. Leads the identification and execution of team activities / resources required to support Jabil, workcell, GCM / RCM strategies / initiatives. Drives commodity focus on continuous improvement in supplier performance in areas of Cost, Quality, Delivery and Service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, manage, and develop a team of Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs), including recruitment, onboarding, coaching, mentoring, performance management, and career development.

• Establish clear objectives, KPIs, and performance expectations for the Supplier Quality team, ensuring alignment with business and operational goals.

• Drive continuous improvement in team efficiency, effectiveness, and technical capability.

• Foster cross-functional collaboration and promote a strong “One Jabil” culture across sites, commodity teams, and global functions.

Supplier Qualification & Audit Management

• Review and assess supplier Qualification Assessments and Supplier Self-Assessment Questionnaires (SAQ) to ensure compliance with Jabil requirements.

• Lead supplier qualification audits and assessments to identify gaps in supplier processes, systems, and Quality Management Systems (QMS).

• Review, approve, and verify corrective action plans for audit non-conformances, ensuring timely closure and sustainable improvements.

• Provide support during internal, third-party, and customer audits related to supplier qualification and compliance activities.

• Ensure onboarding and qualification requirements for new suppliers, new products, and new technologies are effectively executed prior to production launch.

Supplier Quality & Performance Management

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier quality, capability, delivery, and overall performance.

• Support escalation management and resolution of supplier quality and performance issues.

• Collaborate with sourcing, commodity management, and operations teams by providing supplier performance insights to support strategic sourcing decisions.

• Support supplier development activities through corrective and preventive action processes.

Supplier Development & Technical Support

• Coach and train suppliers on Jabil quality standards, processes, procedures, tools, and best practices.

• Support the PPAP/JPPAP process by providing guidance and training to suppliers on qualification and submission requirements.

• Provide technical assistance, mentoring, and support to manufacturing sites regarding supplier qualification processes, onboarding requirements, and quality systems.

• Participate in the development, deployment, and enhancement of global supplier quality systems, tools, and processes.

Operational & Strategic Responsibilities

• Identify and allocate resources required to support current and future supplier quality initiatives.

• Support the deployment and standardization of global supplier quality systems, processes, and tools across assigned sites and commodities.

• Maintain awareness of industry, customer, market sector, and regulatory requirements, ensuring integration into supplier quality processes where applicable.

• Provide regular management reporting and communication on supplier qualification activities, audit status, and improvement initiatives.

• Perform Supplier Quality Engineering activities as required to support business needs.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

·         Proven problem solving skills and abilities required
·         Experience in Electronics Manufacturing Services industry preferred
·         Experienced in working in Design area, with Design Teams, especially DFX reviews
·         Additional certification such as ISO9001/ IATF16949/ ISO13485 Lead Auditor/ VDA6.3 Process Auditor is highly desirable.
·         Familiarity with and experience in applying Six Sigma methodologies required
·         Prior business /commercial (i.e. purchasing, commodity management) experience desired.
·         Demonstrated skills must include strong written and oral communication, resource management, problem solving, process improvement, conflict resolution, leadership, motivation, systems and process development / deployment, administration and change management.
·         Fluent in written and spoken English
