How Will You Make an Impact?
We are seeking a highly strategic and hands-on Sr. Human Resources Manager to lead the Human Resources function for our rapidly expanding facility in Byhalia, MS. This role will play a critical part in building and scaling a high-performing workforce of 4,000+ employees while establishing the HR foundation for a new and growing operation.
As a key member of the site leadership team, the Senior HR Manager will serve as a trusted advisor and partner to plant leadership, playing a central role in shaping business strategy, organizational design, and workforce planning. This individual will be responsible for building the site HR function from the ground up, developing a strong HR team, and ensuring the execution of best-in-class HR practices that support operational excellence, employee engagement, and long-term growth.
This role offers significant visibility and impact and is viewed as a potential successor to an HR Director role.
Location
This role will be based on-site at our Byhalia, MS facility - planning to open by later this year. Training will start in Memphis, TN and then will migrate over to the Byhalia site once the site is ready for on-site staff.
What Will You Do?
The Senior HR Manager is a key business leader responsible for driving HR strategy and execution in a complex, high-growth manufacturing environment.
Strategic HR & Business Leadership
Serve as the senior HR leader for a large-scale, high-growth manufacturing site, partnering with plant leadership to shape business strategy and organizational effectiveness
Lead workforce strategy, including large-scale hiring, ramp planning, and long-term talent pipeline development
Act as a thought partner to leadership on organizational design, change management, and leadership capability
Contribute to regional HR strategy and share best practices across sites
Site Build & Workforce Scaling
Build and scale the HR function to support a rapidly growing employee population of 4,000+
Design and implement HR structures, processes, and programs that support a new facility ramp
Partner with operations to ensure workforce readiness, labor stability, and onboarding effectiveness at scale
Establish a strong employee value proposition and engagement strategy for a new workforce
Employee Relations & Compliance Leadership
Lead a proactive, consistent, and scalable employee relations strategy in a high-volume environment
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as internal policies and safety requirements
Provide expert guidance to leaders on complex employee relations issues, risk mitigation, and decision-making
Foster a culture of accountability, respect, and inclusion across a diverse workforce
Talent, Leadership Development & Succession
Build leadership capability at all levels, with a strong focus on frontline and mid-level leaders
Design and implement talent development, succession planning, and leadership pipeline strategies
Drive performance management processes that align individual performance with business goals
Identify and develop high-potential talent to support long-term organizational growth
HR Operations & Analytics
Establish scalable HR processes and infrastructure, ensuring operational excellence and consistency
Leverage workforce data and analytics (turnover, hiring, attendance, engagement) to inform strategic decisions
Drive continuous improvement through Lean principles and process optimization
Ensure HR systems and processes effectively support a large and complex workforce
HR Team Leadership
Build, lead, and develop a high-performing HR team aligned to business needs and site growth
Define team structure, roles, and development plans to support scale and complexity
Create a strong, accountable HR organization focused on service delivery, partnership, and results
Serve as a mentor and leader within the broader HR organization

How Will You Get Here?
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Master’s degree (MBA or Master’s in HR or related field) preferred
SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent advanced HR certification preferred
Experience:
10+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership in complex, high-growth environments
5+ years of HR leadership experience with responsibility for building and leading teams
Significant experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, or industrial operations
Proven experience supporting large-scale workforce environments (1,000+ employees strongly preferred)
Experience supporting site start-ups, expansions, or major workforce ramps preferred
Multi-site or regional HR leadership exposure/experience for future roles preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Deep expertise in labor and employment law and complex employee relations environments
Strong business acumen with the ability to connect HR strategy to operational outcomes
Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and operate as a strategic advisor
Strong change management and organizational transformation experience
Advanced analytical capability with experience leveraging HR data to drive decisions
Lean / continuous improvement mindset
Enterprise thinker with the ability to operate strategically at scale
