Jabil is seeking a Facilities Recycling Team Lead to work in Byhalia, MS. 

How will you make an impact?

As the Facilities Recycling Team Lead, you will work under limited supervision, you will coordinate daily activities of Facilities Support team members and oversee routine waste management operations and recycling team personnel.

What will you do?

  • Develop, motivate and challenge all Recycling Team Members to perform to their full potential through direct and timely formal and informal feedback.

  • Ensure Recycling Team Members are thoroughly trained and performing their assigned functions.

  • Inform or instruct Recycling Team Members of any deviations or changes.

  • Ensure that assigned work areas are kept clean and organized in order to minimize hazards.

  • Operate a sit-down forklift while following all site traffic & safety guidelines across the site to retrieve, empty and replace large waste & recycling bins from de-trash areas.

  • Safely operate industrial waste processing & recycling equipment such as: Trash compactors, Horizontal Balers, Foam Densifiers and other related equipment as assigned.

  • Load semi-trailers with properly segregated and documented recyclable materials while following all site safety rules for dock & trailer loading operations.

  • Keep track and maintain within established tolerance: consumables, preventative maintenance, and processed materials as it relates to waste management & recycling equipment.

  • Use floor scales and basic math to document gross & net weights of processed material. Maintain electronic recordkeeping for all waste & recycling streams.

  • Notify supervisor of any problems within their area.

  • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.

  • Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.

  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

How will you get here?

Education and Experience:

  • High Diploma or equivalent required.

  • 2 years of experience in a role utilizing Waste Processing equipment.

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience leading a team.

  • At least 2 years of experience operating a Forklift required, Certification a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong communication Skills both verbal and written. 

  • Familiarity with responsible recycling and sustainability.

  • Knowledge and experience in utilizing Health & Safety in a manufacturing plant or warehouse.
