JOB SUMMARY
The Lead Mechanical Integration Engineer plans, implements and improves integrated production and service delivery systems supporting mechanical assemblies, frames, structures, enclosures and related products. The role focuses on manufacturing performance, reliability, maintainability, schedule adherence, quality, ergonomics and continuous improvement throughout the product life cycle. The engineer works cross functionally with design, operations, quality, supply chain and equipment suppliers to transition products into stable and efficient manufacturing processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Plan, develop, sustain, and improve assembly processes for mechanical products, subassemblies, frames, structures, panels, enclosures, and mounting solutions.
· Evaluate product flow, material delivery, storage, line feed methods, work in process levels, buffer requirements and workstation or workcell layout.
· Perform process mapping, time studies, work measurement, capacity analysis, and line balancing to improve throughput, labor utilization, schedule adherence, and cost.
· Design and improve ergonomic workstations, fixtures, tools, material-handling methods, and manufacturing layouts.
· Use CAD tools to review, develop, and update models, layouts, drawings, and technical data packages supporting manufacturability, assembly planning, fixtures, tooling, and production readiness.
· Provide design-for-manufacturing and design-for-assembly input for machined parts, sheet-metal components, welded structures, fasteners and mechanical assemblies.
· Support the creation and maintenance of manufacturing documentation, work instructions, process flows, layouts, equipment requirements and product bills of material.
· Evaluate manufacturing feasibility, process risk, equipment needs, labor content, and cost for new or changing products.
· Lead or support PFMEA, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, yield improvement, quality improvement, and cost-reduction activities.
· Coordinate manufacturing trials, process validation, equipment qualification, and production readiness activities for new or modified processes.
· Work with production personnel and equipment or component suppliers to resolve manufacturing, assembly, material, and process issues.
· Use production systems and metrics to monitor process performance, identify gaps, and implement sustainable improvements.
· Propose and drive cross-functional improvement projects within the assigned workcell or product area.
· Provide technical guidance and share industrial engineering practices with less experienced engineers and cross-functional team members.
· May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
· Working knowledge of industrial engineering methods, including work measurement, process mapping, capacity sizing, facilities and workstation design, ergonomics, line balancing, and continuous improvement.
· Practical understanding of mechanical manufacturing and assembly processes, including sheet-metal fabrication, welded structures, machined components, fastening methods, and product integration.
· Ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, bills of material, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
· Ability to analyze manufacturing data, identify process constraints, and develop practical recommendations for quality, delivery, cost, and productivity improvement.
· Experience with PFMEA, design for assembly, fixtures and tools, quoting support, and manufacturing readiness activities.
· Strong communication, analytical, project coordination, and cross-functional problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and working experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or comparable engineering and layout tools; experience with Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project is preferred.
· Experience with ERP, MES, PLM, or related manufacturing systems is preferred.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering field; a master's degree is preferred.
· Typically 3 to 5 years of relevant industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, mechanical integration, or production support experience.
· Experience supporting complex products, processes, workcells, or manufacturing environments.
· A suitable combination of education, experience, and training may be considered.
The pay range for this role is $105,100 - $189,200. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity. The anticipated close date of this job requisition is: October 30, 2026.
