Job Summary:**
Jabil, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Engineering Manager - US Growth to lead and optimize manufacturing processes, drive efficiency improvements, and support the strategic growth initiatives across our US operations.
How will you make an impact?
This role will be instrumental in implementing lean methodologies, identifying opportunities for automation, and ensuring best practices are consistently applied to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.
This role will be based onsite at one of our preferred sites and require domestic travel upto 75%.
What will you do?
- Lead and manage new industrial engineering activities to support US-based manufacturing sites growth including new sites
- Develop and implement robust industrial engineering strategies aligned with Jabil's growth objectives.
- Conduct comprehensive process analysis, value stream mapping, and time studies to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
- Design and optimize manufacturing layouts, material flow, and production systems to maximize efficiency and capacity utilization.
- Drive the implementation of lean manufacturing principles (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, SMED) across various operational areas.
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend new technologies and automation solutions to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, quality, supply chain, and design engineering to ensure seamless project execution.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, efficiency, and cost savings.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on equipment selection, process validation, and capacity planning.
- Prepare and present detailed reports, analyses, and recommendations to senior management.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the industrial engineering team and across the organization.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
How will you get here?
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) highly desirable.
Experience
- * 8+ years of progressive experience in industrial engineering within a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Experience in electronics manufacturing or a similar high-volume, complex manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Experience with manufacturing process optimization, facility layout, and material handling systems design.
Skills
- Proven track record of successfully implementing lean manufacturing principles and driving significant operational improvements.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and simulation software.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel domestically 75% as required to support various US sites.
