JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated manufacturing equipment and systems during night shifts (D Shift) to ensure continuous production and operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

* Perform routine preventative maintenance on automated production lines, robotics, and auxiliary equipment.
* Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools.
* Troubleshoot complex automation issues, including PLC programming, HMI interfaces, and sensor calibration.
* Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
* Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify root causes of failures and implement corrective actions.
* Assist in the installation, setup, and commissioning of new automation equipment.
* Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and part replacements accurately in the CMMS system.
* Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
* Provide technical support and training to production operators on basic equipment operation and troubleshooting.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area.

EDUCATION AND MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

* Associate's degree in Automation Technology, Robotics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
* 3-5 years of experience as an Automation Technician in a manufacturing environment, preferably with plastics injection molding or similar automated processes.
* Proficiency in troubleshooting and programming PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and HMI systems.
* Strong understanding of electrical circuits, motor controls, sensors, and pneumatics.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
* Experience with robotic systems (e.g., Fanuc, Yaskawa) is highly desirable.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Must be able to work the designated D Shift (night shift) schedule, which typically involves rotating 12-hour shifts.
* Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions.
